1. Vital Statistics Notebook

I used this notebook through all of EMT and Paramedic School, and it is a must have, non-negotiable for me. This notebook is pocket-size and every page includes a place to put all your required pt information to look back on when you're doing your reports for school. Perfect notebook to bring along with you on clinicals and makes your life so much easier with the pre-filled information boxes. 10/10 recommend!

3. Badge Card Sets

People may say this is uneccessary, but Ik for me these made all the difference when I had no idea what the vital signs should be for a certain age range, or how to treat a certain conditon, I was able to have these mini badge cards on me at all times for a quick reference guide while on call

4. Medical Scissors/ Penlights

Again another MUST HAVE for me, you never know when you might need medical scissors to cut off clothing, bandaging, etc and they are so easy to store on you! These penlights I used all throughout EMT school, they are perfect for ur clinical rotations and labs. The battery in these penlights lasts SO LONG, i have had mine for over a year and have not changed the battery and use them daily on the job. 

5. Tactical Pants

A solid, comfortable pair of tactical pants is not an option, it is a requirement for EMT school and on the job. I have owned several pairs of tactical pants and these are by far my favorites! They are true to size, TONS of POCKETS (my fav part) and super comfortable. These pants also are stretchy and do not stick to your legs uncomfortably. Note: I also buy a size larger then what I wear just bc I tend to shrink all my clothes just fyi. 

6. Paramedic Coach

The Paramedic Coach absolutely is one of the Top reasons I got through EMT school understanding the topics, he has a whole YT channel with so many topics that will help you pass EMT school and understand the topics you will be going over. 100% recommend. He alos has a lifetime membership course which I purchased with so much helpful information!

These are the TOP 6 essentials for EMT school I would highly recommend, there are a few more things such as a backpack, and a planner, binder etc, that you may want to get. I am not sure about your school, but IK my EMT school provided me with a backpack, and binder, but each school differs.
